Billionaire Roman Abramovich and his wife Irina have divorced in Russia 'on a consensual basis', their spokesman confirmed last night.

The Russian oil tycoon, 40, owns Chelsea FC and has an estimated fortune of £10.8billion. He and his wife Irina, a former air stewardess, have been married for 15 years and have five children.
It was reported last year that she could win a world record £5.5billion divorce settlement after the billionaire was romantically linked with 24-year-old Russian socialite Daria 'Dasha' Zhukova.
The statement read: 'Mr and Mrs Abramovich have divorced in Russia on a consensual basis and have agreed terms in respect of arrangements for their children and a financial settlement.
'Mr Abramovich's corporate interests, including Chelsea Football Club, are not affected by the divorce proceedings.

'Mr and Mrs Abramovich would appreciate it if the family's privacy would be respected.
'No further comment will be made.'
Mr Abramovich bought Chelsea for £140million in 2003 and has a multi-million pound property portfolio across Europe as well as private jets and yachts.
