Total loses case against Rosneft

RBC, 11.10.2006, Moscow 09:43:10.Total, the French oil company, has lost the right to control the Vankor field. The company lost the case against Rosneft in an arbitration court in Brussels. The court denied all claims of Total, including those for compensation of losses worth $640m. This is due to the fact that Total own assets that Rosneft is interested in, experts say. Total did not comment on the court's decision or its intention to appeal against it.
